(122) Flash causes are generally created out of "passion" for an issue or injustice. "Tweeting" and blogging allow for the creator to inject their opinions and comments in a matter of minutes, seconds. As the chapter explores, some flash causes are created and quickly forgotten about. But, others have the potential to gain rapid response and gain the attention of thousands. Thus, leading to such a mass movement that evokes change (such as the examples in the chapter). Once upon a time, one had to be a journalist, news reporter, or an author to examine a cause and raise alarm on a serious level. Now, anyone can gain the attention for any desired cause and have it spread both quickly and internationally. Flash causes allow us to call immediate
attention to a cause and reach people in the most efficient ways. The problems of a small, rural village become the problems of our own sphere.
